This species was found on flowers of Malvaceae weeds, commonly called wild stockrose. Due to the increased cotton production we also collect any insects on the wild Malvaceae species in case such species later turn out to be a pest on cotton.

The pest status is unknown.

Distribution:

Only observed at Mahenene Research Station, Omusati region.

Description:

The beetles are long and slim, legs and antennae are hardly visible. The shield is brightly coloured in flourescent red or green.

Control:

No control is recommended
