PEST STATUS
Actenodia jucunda is not very
common in farmers’ fields, but has been recorded as widespread in the Omusati
region. It has been found on legume flowers. The pest status is unknown.
DESCRIPTION
A. jucunda is 10-11 mm long.
The beetle is orange brown with 8-10 clear red spots on the back. It may
be confused with a similar species, Mylabris burmeisteri, but the
latter species is much larger, 16 mm long.
